2017-2018 Board of Directors
The new board of directors has been elected and is ready to lead AAF:CR-IC in the upcoming year. This board consists of professionals from companies across the marketing spectrum and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Call for volunteers!
We’re still looking to fill two board positions: Treasurer and Programs Chair. Serving on the board is a great way to become involved in the local advertising community and network with other area professionals, as well as help shape the future of the club. Terms are two years. District 9 Leadership Conference
Justin McDonald, AAF:CR-IC Vice President, and I will be traveling to Kansas City this weekend to attend the annual District 9 Leadership Conference (D9). D9 includes AAF chapters from Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. We will have the opportunity to talk to leadership from other clubs in our district to get program ideas, discuss ways to enhance value to our membership and learn about upcoming AAF national plans. Arts & Crafts
Our fifth annual Arts & Crafts live art auction fundraiser was another great success. The July 22nd event benefitting AAF:CR-IC and the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy combined amazing art, craft beer tasting and lots of laughs. Thanks to everyone who attended, and special thanks to those donating their time and talents to creating a canvas for the auction.
Think to Ink returns
Save the Date for Think to Ink! Sept. 21, 2017, at Cedar Graphics. This incredibly popular event includes speakers, workshops, freebies and food. Cost is free and space is limited. Watch for your invitation in early August.
50th Anniversary of American Advertising Awards
This year our club is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the American Advertising Awards. We are proud to hit this milestone and excited for the show and gala. Important deadlines and the gala date will be released shortly.
